Best known as The Olympic Village, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was home to the London 2012 Olympics. Sarum Electronics designed and manufactured a selection of bespoke Sarum Controls to manage and feed power to the air conditioning units installed across multiple locations throughout the park.
The controls were entirely bespoke in their design and the size and scale of the project was challenging as we had to allow for the variations of buildings involved. Additionally, Sarum Electronics worked as the HVAC partner to several specialist companies who were installing and commissioning the multiple air conditioning systems.
In keeping with all projects of this profile, energy consumption was a primary concern for the various customers specifying Sarum Controls. As a result, almost all of our controller solutions included energy monitoring panels which send signals to the Olympic Park’s external systems that monitor energy use.
